TAKING WHITETAIL DEER HUNTING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

You still have a little time to get in those Fall Food Plots! We planted our last two about 10 days ago and they are starting to sprout. A couple others ones we planted earlier are really up nice. Don't forget to look at the ingredients in your seed. Watch out for a lot of inert matter. Some companies have up to 60% inert matter in their mixes. AWH Premium Seed has .5% inert matter or less. Pure seed. Also, know where your seed comes from. Ours comes from Northern Wisconsin and is designed to handle the tough Midwest winters. If it can handle our Wisconsin winters, it can handle them down south too.

Well beside getting the food plots in and shooting bow I've also been checking out the local deer herd with trail cameras. I use and sell the Scout Guard camera. This is a great little camera and has worked well for us for years now. I also just received a new camera called the Ltl Acorn. I am checking it out now and if it works well I will be selling these as well. They have a longer sensing range (our to 65+ft) plus their sensors are pointed to the sides to pick up game quicker. Easy to use screen on the back of the unit. I will have an update soon on how they are doing, so look for them soon. Don't forget to get your bowhunting equipment in order like the Treehopper Pruner. Well the Platz girls were successful for the last turkey season in Wisconsin. My daughter Katie was able to get her first turkey on a great shot. Bearded hen to boot! My youngest daughter Bryn also had some close opportunities and she named a couple birds that will be on next years hit list. A couple Toms put on great shows and it was just quality time with my girls. They both hunted hard and I am so proud of them. The smile will not come off of my face!

Here is a picture of Mary and her first deer. She only gets the opportunity to hunt about 3 or 4 days a year. She was using the “AWH Acorn Magic” you gave me and she said it was funny to watch the two deer that came in fight over who got to eat the acorn product.I put out some apples and covered them with your acorn product. Within 3 hours there was a 7 pointer in the back yard and by her stand. Until then I hadn’t seen a buck on the trail camera at that stand. She went out at 7:30 am and put some apples and acorn mix out and within a half hour two deer showed up and were fighting over eating the acorn mix. They would kick the apples out of the way to get at the acorn mix.
